Cofounder, William Morriss, has spent over a decade working as an IP attorney, helping clients from solo inventors and startups to Fortune 1000 companies patent their technologies. Training new associates, he was dismayed to discover consistent difficulty in transmitting knowledge to new attorneys; a situation he believed reflected larger inefficiencies in the system as a whole. Determined to find an innovative solution, he conceived of the idea of software that could enable effective searches of past communications with the patent office.
